Closing out Blog -- switching to SmugMug

Hi all,

We are finding it too hard to maintain SmugMug and a blog. Therefore I am closing this site down and will do all further posts and blogs on SmugMug.

Day 1 - Albuquerque, NM to Holbrook, AZ

Tuesday, May 26th

Our first full day started a bit behind schedule. When we arrived to the hotel late last night we realized that the video camera stopped working. Since we were still on East coast time, we work up early, ate breakfast and walked around Old Town before most of the city woke up. Then we hit Best Buy at 10am to get a replacement video camera. Now we were ready to get started!

Highlights from the day included:

Walking around Old Town Albuquerque

Visiting the Acoma Sky Pueblo (oldest active Pueblo with no running water or electricity)

Shopping in Gallup, NM (Travis bought some amazing Navajo Indian pieces to add to his collection.

Sightseeing at the Painted Desert & Petrified Forest (both boys got their Junior Ranger badges)

Checking into the Wigwam Hotel in Holbrook, AZ (same hotel as seen in Movie Cars...name Cozy Cone)

We are finding that blogging a little more difficult than planned since some of the hotels do not have wireless access. We will do our best to keep up! We will keep uploading photos to SmugMug so check it out.
